BASIC DESIGN:
What are the sizes of the Premier Folding Doors Systems?
- In our Ultra Slim and Frameles Folding Doors, the rough opening height can reach a maximum of 110 inches. (9 Feet, 2 inches in height).
- The individual panels can be up to 36″ inches wide per panel for our Ultra Slim, and up to 30 inches wide for our Frameless Folding Doors.
- Both designs offer an unlimited number of panels.
How does it attach to the rough opening?
- All Premier Folding Doors are installed as block frames.
- No structural changes to your header opening are required, as the weight of the door rests 100% on the bottom track.
Can The Premier Folding Doors be used as a Replacement Door?
- The Premier Folding Doors can be used as a replacement for existing sliding glass doors, and also in remodeling and new construction projects.
What materials do you offer from which to choose?
- Our Folding Doors offers aluminum frames with folding glass doors, and in a frameless folding glass system.
- For the Ultra Slim Folding Doors, the Standard Insulated Glass Unit is one inch overall dual-glazed tempered solar ban 60 low e units. Custom Glass is also available.
- Our Frameless Folding Doors come in 3/8″ Tempered Glass.

Where can the door opening be placed?
- Our door can be at either end of the door system, or designed with doors at both ends.
What type of Tracks is the Premier Folding Doors System?
- All Premier Folding Doors run on a single track.
What bottom track options do you have?
- The Ultra Slim and Frameless Folding Doors:
- Tracks can be flush or raised,
Does the flush track have proper drainage?
- The exterior facade of the bottom track has weep holes at the lower edge.
SECURITY:
What security do your Premier Folding Doors offer?
- Our Premier Folding Door System® has patented, innovative operational hardware, that is completely concealed within the frame.
- This design compresses the panels to form a secure glass wall, without any need for hinges or hardware.
- In the Ultra Slim and Frameless Folding Doors, all of our Slide and Fold Doors work on the same principle-when they are closed, they all interlock together to form a solid wall.
- The Ultra Slim and Frameless Series have a Sidelock for maximum security-compared to a typical latch that hooks onto the door frame. Sidelocks are more difficult to manipulate and disable. (They are unique to TGroup Windows and Doors’ Frameless Folding Doors.)
- They allow you to lock and unlock your door, without having to reach to lock at the top of the system or kneel down to lock at the bottom.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY:
What weather-proofing and energy efficiency do your folding doors provide?
- The Folding Doors Glass we install for the Ultra Slim Folding Doors is standard insulated glass-a one-inch overall dual-glazed tempered solar ban 60 low e units (energy efficient). This is designed to resist outside temperatures, keeping the cool air in during summer seasons, and keeping the cold air out during winter seasons.
- Our Frameless Folding Doors also come in 3/8″ Tempered Glass.
- Our Folding Doors design compresses the individual panels to form a weather proof glass wall, running on a single track.
